Admissions

Reception September 2020

The application period is usually from November to the second week in January prior to the September when your child would be due to start school. Once your child’s place has been confirmed at the school, we will write to you to offer the chance to meet your child’s teacher and to learn more about what your child will do in their first year with us. There are also a couple of transition mornings where your child will be able to come in for part of the morning to help them settle.

Generally all children start full time in September; however we recognise that not all parents will feel confident that their child will be able to manage this. We would encourage all parents to discuss these concerns with the class teacher who is very experienced and who will be able to discuss appropriate support for your child.

Prospective parents are welcome to visit the school. Please phone the school to arrange a time which is convenient.

Mid-year Admissions

Please contact the school to see if we have space in your child’s year group. If there is, please make an appointment and come and have a look around.  Applications must then be made via Essex County Council Planning & Admissions

Secondary Schools

You can now apply online for your child’s secondary school (year 7) place.

You must submit an application by the national closing date of 31 October 2020. Applications received after this date will be considered late and you may reduce your chance of being offered a place at your preferred school.

If you are considering entering your child for the 11+ entrance exam, the deadline for applying is usually towards the end of your child’s Year 5. The school receives information from the schools in the 11+ consortium and passes this on to parents.
