Co-opted Governor Subject Responsibility: SEND, Pupil Premium, Reading
Before retiring and becoming a Governor at Priory Primary School, my 38-year career was spent in Education in Bedfordshire, Suffolk and Essex where I taught in both the State and Independent Sectors. I have lived in Bicknacre since 1997 and retirement in 2013 enabled me to contribute to the community through my role as a School Governor. For me, it is an honour and a privilege to be a Governor, with its intention and purpose of helping to make a real difference and to be part of the process which aims to support and to keep moving the school forward to become the best that it can, for all the children who attend Priory Primary School.

Tina Ring Co-opted Governor Subject Responsibility: Health & Safety
I moved to Bicknacre from Romford in 2008. I have worked in Law for 45 years and recently retired as a Legal practice manager, where I held the position for 39 years with the same firm. I have been a school Governor with Priory Primary School for two years, and although I have not previously been involved in Education, I am enjoying being part of the school. I like to volunteer for various things, in 2012 I was a Games Maker at the London Olympics and in 2014 I was at the Tower of London as part of the Poppy team. I am currently back at the Tower of London as a volunteer for Superbloom which is a garden that has been created in the moat to celebrate the Queens Platinum Jubilee. In 2006 I completed the London Marathon, one of my most memorable achievements, I am still a keen runner although the distances are much shorter. I recently got a black Labrador puppy and spend a lot of time walking round the village especially Priory Fields with him.

Julie Gilligan Co-opted Governor Subject Responsibility: SEND, Pupil Premium, Reading
I have lived in Bicknacre since 2016, and I enjoy being part of this village community, which includes being a governor at Priory School. I have two grown up daughters, one of whom is a primary school teacher, and three grandsons. I retired in 2020 after teaching for over 30 years in London and Essex primary schools, and I now work part-time as a community care assistant. As a teacher I taught all year groups and subjects and experienced many changes in the primary curriculum. My aim was always to give pupils a rounded and enjoyable education and to work together with families and colleagues to support children in their physical, mental, emotional and spiritual development. I hope that, as a governor, I can use my knowledge and experience to continue to support pupils, staff, families and the wider community of Priory School.
